A spatially coherent set of SAR interferograms, satisfying the baseline setup, was used to conduct PSI processing. Temporal unwrapping was performed using the MCF algorithm, in which the geometric baseline and temporal baseline of the selected set of SAR interferograms are used to extract their elevations and velocities, respectively. The unwrapping of the phase-compensated SAR interferograms was performed by adapting the behavior of the unwrapping process to actual SAR data and using an iterative relaxation algorithm. Horizontal velocities were derived from the unwrapped phase by application of an IAA algorithm. A flow of 0.5 pixels per day was used to fuse together unwrapped SAR images at different times. Displacement during each time step was derived by fitting a plane to the SLC, by minimizing the distance from the plane to the source. The unwrapped phases were refined using a polynomial degree of three and a Gaussian smoothing function using four pixels as standard deviation. Ground control points were used to fit a plane to the reference geometry. Box filtering was applied to the deformed SAR images, respectively, and the temporal baseline of the unsmoothed SAR data was used to construct a PSI coherency measure based on the evaluation of signal consistency over time. The mean and standard deviation of the mean values of the estimated ground velocities, as well as the mean and standard deviations of the median results, are summarized in Table 1. The FBS results confirm the overall stability of SAR ground velocities in the modeled area and should not be over-interpreted. Moreover, these findings should be checked using other SAR data, for example, European Space Agency Sentinel-1 SAR data. The accuracy of PSI processing is affected by several factors such as surface and subsurface deformation, subsidence or uplift, local features such as boundaries, phase ambiguities, spatially coherent sources, and depth-dependent spatial coherency. The accuracy of ground velocity estimation is affected by non-surface disturbances (e.g., large-scale subsidence) and modeling error. Results obtained from PSI processing and analysis will be discussed in the following section. d2c66b5586
